Health Support
March of Dimes
FedEx is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the March of Dimes, whose mission is to prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality. Premature birth effects one in eight babies born in the U.S. We work alongside the organization to educate Americans about premature birth and the potential problems associated with it.
Our support of the March of Dimes is reflected in both corporate-giving programs and volunteerism. We have made over $8 million contribution to the March of Dimes, and more than 15,000 FedEx team members and their families participate in the annual March of Dimes March for Babies. To further honor our commitment to the organization, in April 2008, the FedEx No. 11 car had a special March of Dimes paint design.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
For over 20 years, we have been the lead sponsor for the FedEx St. Jude Classic PGA Tour event, which has raised over $14 million for St. Jude. From large monetary donations to specially designed NASCAR race cars, we’re committed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital mission to find cures and save children.
Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center (Memphis, Tenn.)
FedEx provided support for the 620,000-square-foot expansion at Le Bonheur along with the funding for the first family housing unit at the Children’s Medical Center, slated to open in Memphis in 2009 as The FedEx Family House.
Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center is a comprehensive children’s hospital serving six states. FedEx shares Le Bonheur’s commitment to the health and safety of children and has supported the hospital in a number of ways over the years.
