At FedEx, we leverage our sports sponsorships to give back to local communities with unique events and interactive programs throughout the year. As a major sponsor of championship-caliber sports for more than 25 years, FedEx has supported the NFL, the PGA TOUR and Joe Gibbs Racing, all of which are consistent with our brand values of speed, reliability, precision, and leadership. 
 
Denny Hamlin and Local Children’s Hospitals
The FedEx #11 team makes local community involvement a priority at races around the country. As part of our work with Joe Gibbs Racing, FedEx employees and No. 11 car driver Denny Hamlin visit local children’s hospitals, meet with patients and make donations to these facilities. An afternoon of entertainment for the children includes slot-car tracks set up for the children to race -- and maybe even beat – Hamlin behind the wheel!
 
Additionally, Denny Hamlin frequently dons helmets designed by children. During the children’s hospital events, children have the opportunity to create and customize Denny’s helmet, in which he will wear on race day. These helmets are in turn donated to charity. 
 
NFL and the FedEx Air & Ground Awards
FedEx makes lightning-fast, spot-on deliveries around the clock – and so do many NFL quarterbacks and running backs during football season. As the official delivery service of the NFL, FedEx proudly sponsors the weekly FedEx Air & Ground Awards. These awards, which are voted on by fans each week, recognize NFL players who represent the same speed, precision and teamwork that customers have come to expect from FedEx. FedEx makes two $5,000 donations each week to children’s hospitals in the hometowns of winning players. FedEx then makes two $25,000 donations to hometown children's hospitals for the season winners during the Super Bowl each year. In total, FedEx delivers nearly $250,000 to local children's hospitals around the country in recognition of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Program every year.  
 
PGA Tour and the First Tee
As a natural extension of the FedExCup and premier sponsorship of the PGA TOUR, FedEx became a sponsor of the First Tee. This nonprofit organization is committed to providing young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values through golf and character education. Events are hosted at multiple FedExCup tournaments, which allow children from local First Tee chapters to play on a unique four-hole putting course designed by FedEx, learn about golf and tour the tournament site.
