FedEx employee Dwight Fryer is honored at the NAACP Image Awards
We support organizations that are committed to achieving diversity. We believe we can collectively make a positive difference in the world by enabling people and communities to connect with information and ideas to improve their quality of life and standard of living.

NAACP
FedEx supports the mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (NAACP) ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all people, through our support of the NAACP’s Annual Convention and the Image Awards.

The NAACP Convention represents a major event for those engaged in civil rights advocacy and ensuring equality for all Americans. Workshops and plenary sessions focusing on national issues create dialogue on civil rights advocacy issues in education, economic empowerment, health outreach, civil liberties and youth leadership development. More than 8,000 members, civil rights leaders, volunteers, policymakers, and corporations meet to share models for civil rights advocacy and strengthening communities.

The NAACP Image Awards is the nation’s premier event celebrating the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice. We are proud sponsors of the Nominees Luncheon for the NAACP Image Awards. Honorees, presenters and performers have included many of the major celebrities in America as well as international political figures and dignitaries. There are 36 competitive categories in the fields of motion pictures, television, music and literature.

National Council of La Raza
FedEx is a sponsor of the National Council of La Raza Annual Conference, the largest gathering of Hispanics in the U.S. The conference includes a Latino Expo -- a family-friendly event attracting more than 16,000 people -- and a health fair that focuses on women’s reproductive health, mental health, diabetes, blood pressure and nutritional health. A home fair presents information on mortgage financing and the home-buying process. FedEx is proud to sponsor the National Affiliates Luncheon attended by about 2,000 representatives of La Raza affiliate groups from across the nation.

National Urban League
FedEx supports National Urban League fundraising events in key cities and is a sponsor of the National Urban League Economic Opportunity Institute Social Venture Plan Competition. This event promotes social entrepreneurship as a strategy to achieve financial sustainability for National Urban League affiliates in cities across the nation. The competition provides monetary and in-kind awards while guiding participants in the start-up and growth of revenue-generating activities.

National Hispanic Corporate Achievers Awards
This event is considered the premier U.S. celebration for recognizing Hispanic corporate professionals. The program also provides academic scholarships to Hispanic students at Baruch College who are in need of financial assistance. As a result of our outreach efforts, FedEx has been the recipient of the Hispanic Corporate Citizen Award, presented in New York City. Three FedEx employees have also received National Corporate Achievers Awards.
